It has come to the PTA's attention that there has been a miscommunication about the PTA sale of assignment books (a.k.a. student planners) required for grades 3-6.  Two recent communications - a letter mailed to Stenwood families and a flyer circulated at Open House - indicate that assignment books are available for purchase this fall through the PTA.  At present and by design, this is not the case.  The PTA encourages families to participate in the springtime Stenwood "bulk order", which results in substantial savings to our members and free delivery to the school in the fall. 

We sincerely apologize for any confusion resulting from this miscommunication. 

Stenwood teachers and staff are aware of this situation and will accommodate students affected until books can be ordered.  If you need to purchase an assignment book for use this fall, there are two options:

1.       Purchase assignment book(s) through the school. 
Additional books have been ordered and are being shipped from the vendor on Friday September 2, 2011. While we don’t have an exact delivery date, it is reasonable to expect they will be available for purchase some time during the first week of school.   We will send notification when they’re available.  The cost will be $3.50 per book, and we will ask that you send in exact change. The Stenwood administration and PTA strongly recommend this option.

2.       Purchase assignment books directly from the publisher.
